Thanks Joe for shining a light on this legislation. While concerns still abound, you are so right to point out that we must do something, however analog. The tech oligarchs must be brought to heel.
No one should be forced to have any company's AI buddy attached to their electronics. It should be on demand only. Also there should be no immunity clauses in this legislation or it means nothing. Anything that goes wrong, the tech companies own it. Anything.
Regarding "NOTE: One potential pitfall here would be a regulatory framework that forced all adults to accept digital IDs in order to use the internet." This is a nonstarter for me!
Looks like it makes the whole bill something to forward the WEF and globalists agenda.
It would also leave people more vulnerable to corporations modeling everyone as to all the buy, what their preferences are, all their personal data, and the ability to spoof your digital ID to steal from you.
Our competitors will not throttle their development in AI.
The advent of AI will open up new horizons.
People will find new ways to innovate using AI.
We may find solutions to problems that we never fathom before.
With AI we can eliminate corruption, increase quality food production, build fusion reactors, water desalination to irrigate the driest deserts, refill aquifers, produce electricity, reduce the need for fossil fuels, preserve the environment, save money.

Thank you Joe for all your work and for SKB to put it out there for us to see. May God bless all! 🙏
